              Event Description:

              Tarleton State University invites the community to join them in celebrating the Grand Opening of the new EECU Center on Thursday, August 21st at 10:00 AM.

              Immediately following the ceremony, guests are invited to take a tour of the new facility and visit the Taste of Texas featuring complimentary tastings from a selection of local restaurants.

              The EECU Center will offer seating for nearly 10,000 for concerts and up to 8,000 for basketball games. The $120 million two-story multipurpose arena will host events including NCAA Division I basketball, symposiums, conferences, concerts and conventions.

              Parking will be available near the baseball fields across Washington Street.
